Winner of MTN Hitmaker season 7, OV Singer Okailey Verse, popularly known as OV, was on Sunday, November 25 announced the winner of this year’s edition (season 7) of the MTN Hitmaker reality show held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) in Accra. In the keenly contested finals, OV defeated three other finalists— Awal, Amakye and Erza Tamaa— to win the seventh edition of the music reality show. OV becomes the second female to win the covetous title since its inception. The grand finale was hosted by Starr FM‘s Drive Time hosts, Berla Mundi and Giovani Caleb. OV’s beats producer, Magnom, also won GH¢10, 000 as an automatic prize because his artiste won on the night. Awal Mohammed, who many thought was going to win the competition, came second whilst Amakye took the third position and Erza Tamaa settled for the fourth position. Kofi Kinaata features Shatta Wale on "Never Again", out on March 22

Kofi Kinaata has, for the first time, collaborated with controversial dancehall musician and record producer Shatta Wale. The Takoradi-native who missed out at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards despite releasing hits in the calendar year announced today (March 21) that he has a new song with the “Ayoo” hitmaker. According to the multiple award-winning singer, rapper and songwriter, the song is titled “Never Again” and will be released on Friday, March 22 at exactly 12 pm. He made the big announcement via his social media pages but refused to name the genre of the song and the storyline as well. He shared the official cover artwork with a simple caption:  “Kofi Kinaata - Never Again  Feat. Shatta Wale…Drops Tomorrow (Friday) at 12noon. Where is MzVee? Keep your questions for her when she comes – Kuami Eugene

The “Angela” hitmaker in an interview told MzGee his co-signee is resting and every question people have about her whereabouts and wellbeing will have to wait until she comes back. “She is MzVee.
