Kofi Kinaata features Shatta Wale on "Never Again", out on March 22

Kofi Kinaata has, for the first time, collaborated with controversial dancehall musician and record producer Shatta Wale. The Takoradi-native who missed out at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards despite releasing hits in the calendar year announced today (March 21) that he has a new song with the “Ayoo” hitmaker. According to the multiple award-winning singer, rapper and songwriter, the song is titled “Never Again” and will be released on Friday, March 22 at exactly 12 pm. He made the big announcement via his social media pages but refused to name the genre of the song and the storyline as well. He shared the official cover artwork with a simple caption:  “Kofi Kinaata - Never Again  Feat. Shatta Wale…Drops Tomorrow (Friday) at 12noon. The artiste said on Drive Time, Thursday, he has already warned the organisers that he and his fans will behave like Shatta Wale at the Ghana Music Awards in 2013. Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, after losing the Reggae Dancehall Song of the Year to Kaakie in 2013 at the VGMAs smashed some things belonging to the organisers at the event. He further released a song ‘A Letter to Chatter House’ to further insult and discredit their work as an award scheme. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey reiterated plans by government to include promotion of the French language in basic schools and across all other educational levels and labelled it as part of a general reform in Ghana’s educational sector. Ebony Reign Memorial Concert Set For March 29

Date for a concert in memory of late Ghanaian artiste, Ebony born Priscilla Opuku Kwarteng has been announced. Dubbed ‘Ebony Reigns Memorial Concert,’ it will be held at the West Hills Mall, Weija on March 29, 2019. There is no word yet on the artistes likely to perform at the concert. Ebony died on Thursday, February 8, 2018 when the vehicle she was travelling in was involved in a head-on collision with a VIP bus on the Kumasi-Sunyani road on her way back to Accra from Sunyani where she visited her mother. She was pronounced dead at the Bechem Government Hospital on the same day. Her funeral service was held at the forecourt of the State House, followed by a burial service at the Osu cemetery on Saturday, March 24, 2018.

What is the joy in having an award you paid for sitting in your room? This is the simple question actress Ellen White posed when she was asked if she will ever pay to win any award in her life. According to her, there is no honor in doing such a thing because it goes a long way to paint a picture of the sort of person such an individual is.
