OV wins MTN Hitmaker Season 7; takes home GHC100,000

Winner of MTN Hitmaker season 7, OV Singer Okailey Verse, popularly known as OV, was on Sunday, November 25 announced the winner of this year’s edition (season 7) of the MTN Hitmaker reality show held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) in Accra. In the keenly contested finals, OV defeated three other finalists— Awal, Amakye and Erza Tamaa— to win the seventh edition of the music reality show. OV becomes the second female to win the covetous title since its inception. The grand finale was hosted by Starr FM‘s Drive Time hosts, Berla Mundi and Giovani Caleb. OV’s beats producer, Magnom, also won GH¢10, 000 as an automatic prize because his artiste won on the night. Awal Mohammed, who many thought was going to win the competition, came second whilst Amakye took the third position and Erza Tamaa settled for the fourth position. Kumawood teen actress, Maame Yaa Jackson, has revealed that she once dated a Member of Parliament (MP) but dumped him because he failed to provide all her needs. The MP, she stated, refused to open a makeup shop for her because she was not sleeping with him. According to her, it will not be in the best of a poor guy to date her because she will likely cheat on him to get her needs provided.
